Boxes Group
Accelerates Businss for Wondawheelz
Wondawheelz - the manufacturer of toy electronic model racing vehicles
for children which are sold predominantly on the internet - went back
to the Web when a packaging specialist for its new products was
needed.
From a broad
range of carton manufacturers, Wondawheelz selected the Boxes Group
and the company is now supplying the majority of its packaging.
Wondawheelz, Hugo Lywood, said: “We’re a new company
and having decided to manufacture our products in the UK, we then
needed a packaging solution that would stand out from the crowd on
crowded toy shop shelves.
“After contacting a number of packaging companies, we found
that the Boxes Group not only presented us with numerous attractive
solutions but was also the most competitive and flexible.
”On delivery
of our first consignment of cartons, we were delighted by the
excellent quality. Having used numerous packaging companies in the
past, I can honestly say we would now never venture elsewhere for our
solid board requirements.”
The Boxes
Group is manufacturing five cartons for Wondawheelz. The Chassis
Starter Set is printed on 400 micron coated white lined chip recycled
board in four colours with a high gloss UV varnish. The carton is
shaped like a handbag with a tuck in the top and an envelope base.
Four more cartons for other products in the Wondawheelz range, in the
same material and shape, have a tuck in the top with a crash lock base
and a tamper evident tab.
Business
Development Manager, John Morgan, said: “We were delighted to be
approached by this newly formed and exciting company. It was great to
get involved from the outset and our teams have worked closely
together to fulfil the packaging requirements for Wondawheelz to meet
the launch date which was published and counted down over the
internet.”
The
Wondawheelz range designs, manufactures and sells a unique range of
model vehicles aimed at seven - 12 year olds. The basic chassis is
purchased in kit form for home assembly. Users can also buy mechanical
upgrade kits to alter the performance of the vehicle to match the
chosen bodywork design. There are over 25,000 potential configurations
to explore and the range is designed to encourage innovative thinking
while providing an absorbing hobby.
The Boxes
Group majors on product presentation in a wide range of fields, from
innovative luxury cartons for cosmetics manufacturers to specialist
cartons for the pharmaceutical and healthcare industries.
The business
operates from four sites throughout the UK and has two companies in
The Netherlands. The Boxes Group is part of Clondalkin, the
international group of companies producing specialist packaging and
printing products.
