Reputation of Boxes Prestige Underlined with Top Honour
The
first class design skills of Boxes Prestige have been officially
recognized with a national award for its imaginative new packaging for
the Virgin Shiro range of toiletries.
Boxes
Prestige, supplier of over 100 different cartons for the Virgin
Cosmetics Company, took the prize for the most creative use of folding
boxboard for the Shiro Xmas 2000 pack at The Paper & Print Focus
Creative Awards. The
category was sponsored by Iggesund Mills.
The
Shiro carton is a box/lid pack, produced on 380gsm, Invercote G 515um
board and printed in cream, black and silver with high gloss and pearl
varnishes and foil blocked with bright silver.
Judges
commented: “The overall impact and build was excellent.
The design just oozed quality.
An example of what can be achieved with this basic one sided
coating packaging grade.”
It’s
the second time Boxes Prestige has been selected for this awards
category with a Virgin carton and the ninth time the Company has
collected a trophy since the Awards began 12 years ago.

Director of Boxes Prestige, Peter Burgess, said:

quality.
“This
honour follows our recent acquisition of several major accounts in the

new specialised finishing area and warehouse facility.”
Boxes
Prestige, based in Northamptonshire, has been supplying The Virgin
Cosmetics Company since its launch three years ago in addition to
leading cosmetics and toiletry manufacturers in the UK and overseas.
The Company is the luxury product presentation arm of The Boxes
Group which is owned by the £350m turnover group, Clondalkin.
