| The Boxes Group Is Trebor
Bassetts Selection
The Boxes Group is working with Trebor Bassett to produce 18
different cartons for an innovative new Kids Variety sweet range, following one of the
biggest and most complex marketing projects ever undertaken by the confectionery company.
Distinctive packaging for the newly launched Bassetts
& Beyond range, is being divided between Boxes GH in Blackburn, Lancashire and Boxes
Prestige, Northampton, utilising the best possible resources from the Group in the
production of the cartons.
The majority of the packaging for the sweets range is being
printed at Boxes GH on its state of the art Roland 900 press while Boxes Prestige is
handling the printing of Refresher cartons on metallized board, using inter-deck drying.
Boxes Group Special Projects Manager, Gary Trott, said:
"We liaised closely with Trebor Bassett from the early design stages, producing
samples for approval and working to achieve perfect colour matches. Printed proofs were
submitted within tight timescales and deliveries met the deadline for the product launch.
"The combined Group resource provides us with an
extensive range of options and services including the capability to print carton sheets
from size 3B to size 6, in one to six colours plus in-line coating. This means customers
can be completely confident about all parts of the production process as there is no
reliance on a third party. It also ensures we can offer competitive prices."
Trebor Bassett dominates the confectionery market with a 28
per cent share in the £1.8 billion sugar market and has been a Boxes customer for over
five years. The Bassetts & Beyond project began 13 months ago, researching
childrens and parents attitudes and purchasing behaviour and how Trebor
Bassett could meet those expectations.
Trebor Bassett Customer Marketing Controller, John Coe, said:
"The launch of our new Bassetts & Beyond kids range has been the most
significant initiative undertaken by Trebor Bassett since the formation of the Company ten
years ago. The extensive redesign of all our packaging and the consolidation of the range
has taken over 12 months. This successful launch would not have been possible without the
active involvement of the team at The Boxes Group."
Boxes GH meets the needs of some of the biggest manufacturers
of FMCG products while Boxes Prestige has built a reputation for manufacturing cartons
that provide a creative solution to product presentation. Group resources include an award
winning design studio, full reprographics facilities, window patching, foil blocking,
embossing, laser die cutting, gold blocking, UV/Flexo technology and in-line screen
printing.
