The Boxes Group Helps Ted Baker
Reward its Big Spenders
Leading
UK designer brand Ted Baker recently gave away innovative gift packs
for its best male and female customers, with niche expertise from two
divisions of the Boxes Group - the product presentation specialists.
Boxes Prestige, in Northamptonshire and Ditone Labels, Cambridgeshire,
worked with London Supply Chain Management company Communic8 to create
two 800 micron frosted polypropylene gift packs for men and women who
spent more than £100 in store.
The men’s pack contained four shot glasses, a miniature bottle of
vodka, playing cards and a dice and the women¹s pack had a hair
towel, wine glass, two chocolates and a scented candle.
Communic8’s design brief from Ted Baker was to produce a packaging
concept that was innovative and practical to hold all the product
types, within a specified budget.
Client Services Director at Communic8, Megan Simpkins, said: “When
we approached The Boxes Group for ideas, they were very helpful in
understanding the brief and the restraints on the fragility of the
products inside. For ideas they proceeded to several prototypes,
adding little touches to the final design to make them stand out from
the crowd.”
Boxes Prestige was asked to produce the design for the construction of
the carton and fitment on polypropylene. The plastic is printed clear
with an opaque look, is self erect and has a tuck in tab lock. Ditone
Labels supplied the one colour vinyl self adhesive label required for
contents and tamper evidence.
The Boxes Group majors on product presentation in a wide range of
fields, from innovative luxury cartons for cosmetics manufacturers to
specialist cartons for the pharmaceutical and healthcare industries
and the food sector. The business operates from five sites throughout
the UK and has two companies in The Netherlands. The Boxes Group is
part of Clondalkin, the international group of companies producing
specialist packaging and printing products.
