Specialist Poised to Expand in Pharmaceutical SectorBoxes Ditone, designer and manufacturer of innovative labels and part of
specialist packaging company The Boxes Group, is set to expand a niche sector of its
business after achieving the pharmaceutical industrys most exacting standards for
suppliers.
The Cambridgeshire-based company, which recently invested
£2.4m in purpose-built premises, a design studio and new press to help bring a number of
new products onto the market, has been awarded the Pharmaceutical Supplier Code of
Practice for non contact packaging. This eliminates the possibility of cross contamination
of printed materials and ensures good manufacturing practice in a hygienic environment.
Boxes Ditone already holds the quality assurance licence ISO 9001.
Boxes Ditone, situated near Huntingdon and one of seven
companies in the £35m turnover Boxes Group, now aims to grow its market share of the
pharmaceutical labels business while further increasing its expertise in label
construction, adhesives and print processes for a broad range of other industries.
The Company offers a range of printing facilities including
letterpress, rotary screen, UV and conventional flexographic and hot foil. Boxes
Ditones new premises also allows for high volume as well as small to medium runs and
the production layout enables a fast and efficient service for customers.
