Appointment Increases Potential of The Boxes Group
The
Boxes Group, owned by international printing and packaging products
specialist Clondalkin, is investing in further expanding its carton
expertise with the creation of a new management position.
David Rowlands has been appointed Business Development Manager with
special responsibilities for Boxes GH and Edson in new markets.
MD of Boxes GH and Edson, Phil Spencer, said: "I am pleased to
welcome David to the Boxes sales team- he brings with him a vast
knowledge and expertise of the folding carton market and joins a
company making strong progress in the FMCG market place. We have
several exciting innovations at development stage and he will play a
key part in bringing these to the market.”
David Rowlands added: “I am determined to ensure that the Group
continues to be one of the country¹s very top players. I’ll be
examining new markets and opportunities for GH and Edson – we’ve
the enthusiasm and drive to fully embrace new processes and
technologies. The production equipment throughout the Group is of the
highest standard and the planned continuing investment and growth will
maintain us at the forefront of the industry.”
David will be bringing to The Boxes Group his many years of experience
with one of Europe's largest packaging organisations. One of his first
objectives will be to further enhance Boxes capabilities for printing
directly onto microflute substrates.
The Boxes Group, with a turnover of £40m, consists of seven
specialist companies and majors on product presentation in a wide
range of fields, from innovative luxury cartons for cosmetics
manufacturers to specialist cartons for the pharmaceutical and
healthcare industries. Boxes Imaging is the reprographics arm of the
Group, providing a complete design and plate-making service. The
business operates from five sites throughout the UK.
