sugarcraft equipment has secured a significant contract with Hobbycraft - Europes

Cakeboards Ltd., part of The Boxes Group, is to now sell its

In addition, Cakeboards is announcing two further contracts.

Craft and the second is with Sefcol Ltd., to distribute sugar paste and marzipan in a wide
variety of colours and pack sizes, to retailers and bakers throughout the country.
Cakeboards Sales and Marketing Director, John Heester, said:
"These three important contracts demonstrate Cakeboards continuing success in
maintaining a leading position in its business arena."
"Cakeboards has served the cake manufacturing and
sugarcraft industry for over 50 years and has grown to become one of the most prominent
names in the business. While we have all the capability of a large firm, we have retained
the values of a small company in our relations with customers. Personal service is one of
our greatest strengths."
Cakeboards, with a turnover of £3.5m, is based in Burnley,
Lancashire and has a sales office in Ilford, North East London. The Company employs around
100 people. It was founded in the 1940s and become a member of The Boxes Group a few years
later. Initially, Cakeboards only manufactured cake drums and cards for a small number of
large customers but in the 1960s a range of cake decorations and wedding mascots were
introduced, along with a first colour catalogue. Cakeboards acquired Mary Ford Ltd in 1992
retaining the company name, and has become well known for its range sugarcraft and edible
products for the cakecraft industry.
