Long established family
company Old St Andrews Ltd is entering the classical Scotch whisky market with a
specially-created blend in a newly designed bottle, incorporating advanced technology
label designs by Ditone Labels.
Part of Clondalkin, the international printing and packaging products group, Ditone is
producing four labels which have been personally designed on a golfing theme by Old St
Andrews Managing Director Julian Haswell. Two of the labels are varnish embossed and all
are printed in six colours.
Haswell, who also created the new shape bottle, said: "We have been a highly
successful exporter of clubhouse brand whisky and other spirits since 1969. We now plan to
take the Company forward into a new international business arena by launching into the
classical Scotch whisky market.
"Weve worked closely with Ditone on this project because of their innovative
approach and flexibility, which fits the way we like to do business. Also from working
with the Company previously we know its a highly efficient enterprise."
Ditone Labels MD, David Stevenson, added: "Old St Andrews have developed a premium
product which looks and tastes like no other. We are pleased that weve managed to
develop labels for them which enhances their concept bottle."
